Scotech Cavity wall extraction
Scotech was established in 2017, specialising in cavity wall insulation removal. Since the 80s there has been a big investment from the government to insulate homes in order to reduce energy and our carbon footprint. The cavity wall extraction process is carried out for a number of reasons.
Cavity insulation may get wet and break down the insulation and, causing bridging and allowing water to soak into internal walls. This can happen due to flooding, porous brickwork or mortar, defective insulation material, poorly installed cavity wall insulation and structural problems. This has caused serious problems for homes all over the UK. Signs of problems in your cavity insulation can include black mould and dampness on internal walls, condensation and expensive heating bills are all signs your cavity insulation could be defective.
The redundant cavity wall insulation is removed using an industrial machine. The removal of material commences at the base of the property, working its way up the drilling pattern checking that the entire cavity wall is free from insulation material. All waste material is bagged during the extraction and none is left behind. The cavity wall extraction process will normally take a few days to complete in an average three-bedroom detached property.
Using specialist tools and machinery, Scotech Solutions can extract defective cavity wall insulation, causing little disturbance to the fabric of the building or to the occupant of the home. Scotech Solutions can undertake the extraction of insulation products from the cavity walls of domestic and commercial properties across Scotland.
